Dragon Knight

Assuming you take things literally, Dungeons and Dragons has a distressing number of games with very few dungeons and even fewer dragons. Now, we’ve finally distilled the cure to 5e’s draconic deficiency; a class that turns players into dragons. All you need to do is become a dragon, crawl into a suitably fortified hole, and you will become a D&D.

More seriously, dragon knight is a martial class that draws its power from service to a draconic master. This connection grants them a Dracobinding die, a spark of draconic power that refreshes every single round. As a result, the dragon knight never runs out of its most basic feature, meaning it can keep pushing on even as other classes have exhausted all their spells and other resources. However, when they really need to do some damage, dragon knights can partially transform into a dragon, making them tougher to kill and granting them an extra Dracobinding die each turn, further fueling their other normal features.

For our initial release, we are happy to present the spine of the class as well as two subclasses to start, the Red and the Silver Dragonlords. If you want everything dragon knight, you can also buy the Green Dragonlord from our store, but don’t worry, we’ll be back with more soon. We’ll be releasing more subclasses regularly, each based on a different flavor of dragon. We’re already hard at work on the remaining chromatic and metallic dragons, but stranger variants will follow! These will be out on our shop soon, but if you want to get everything directly from the source, our patrons on Patreon will have access to everything as soon as it’s available, in addition to all the rest of our premium content.

We’ve had a ton of fun testing dragon knight, and we hope you enjoy this new approach to class resources!
