Most dragons are born to great power, suffused with ancient magic by the time they can speak and feared by the masses since they could fly. However, not all dragonlords are so powerful just by inheritance. For the lowly kobold, only the shrewdest and most wily can rise to the heights necessary to oversee knights of their own.
As a result, the dragon knights of a kobold lord benefit from their patron’s mastery of the underhanded tactics that the weak have used for generations to overcome their tyrannical overlords. The kobold’s teachings are not only about traps and stealth, however; the first thing any successful kobold has to learn is that the most dangerous weapon is another kobold, and that setting up your allies to land a killing blow is as good as stabbing the monster yourself.
